Hi guys this is a little motorhead dream that i used to have and still do for 20 some years now. could you iamgine if suzuki would come up with a lt1000r limited edition model and have it look very much like to 90 model and be twin cylinder and have the same bore and stroke and have the chassic wider and longer just to compensate for that big engine and have the crank and bearing problem fixed could you imigime the sound that S.O.B would have with twin exhaust and power it would have.he would have to duct tape is hands to the handle bars just to hold on. well this is just a pipe dream that i wounted to share with you. o well that how things get made .
I think a few guys here share your dream
would be terrible.
make it wider to fit a second jug would make it way too wide. go sit on a zilla. measure the gap between your legs, add another 10 inches to that. it would be hell on your hips.
making the engine part of the frame longer would also suck, you would have to be laying down to reach the handle bars.

The rocking couple produced with a 180 degree twin, with two 500cc cylinders, would be very difficult to keep the vibrations to an acceptable level. Talk to some of the Banshee engine builders that have built the 1000cc 180 deg. twins.
Making both cylinders fire simultaneously would eliminate the rocking couple but would make the effort required to kick start it twice hard, plus the counterbalancer would have to be huge.
yes your all right. i never thought of it that way it would be a big o pile of junk i can't belive i posted something that dumb.
There are bike like that like a Scimitar that are 1000 cc's they are crazy and require a secondary starter and a massive clutch capable of handling the hp.
Run a F7 motor out of a Cat mated to a LT trans. You may add 4" in with, but it's a very low CG and a very good single pipe setup and you could kick start it.
Then add a fluid dampener to keep your arms from going numb. The Ultra Lite guys started using them in Rotax. We hand made one for the last 1500cc triple we made. Cat 900 twin (1010 big bore) +1 cyl.
if you really want a twin, take out the zilla motor, drop in a 10mil serval or cheetah banshee motor. tons of HP and torque without any of the zilla issues.
