im having trouble keeping my 88 250 running. it has a completely stock engine and carburetor. ever since I put on the vforce 3s and the fmf fatty, it only wants to run with the choke on. it only takes about 1/8 of an inch of choke and my choke is spring loaded so it falls back when I let go. I think I need bigger jets, but im looking for a second opinion.
the carb is also puking gas out of the bottom, so I might need a rebuild kit.(or just a new carb)
Was it stock before? But you will need to rejet it if you swapped to fmf and vf3 reeds.
it was all stock before and ran fine, I just needed something with a little more power
I have almost new 38 pwk keihin for sale with a bunch of jets and needles if your intersted.
rebuild the carb first before you go changing jets.
I am going to do a little looking around first. I'll let you guys know if I find anything out
