Hey guys, weather is finally getting decent in MO here. So, after two weeks of bitter cold, I got on my 88 lt250r, gassed it a couple of times, and one kick is all it took to get it fired up. Took it riding up and down the street, going through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. However, when in 2nd and giving it more gas, the exhaust sounds like a Jake-brake going off and tops out too soon. Now, I don't know if it's the carb, exhaust, gas-line, or power-valve but I should mention that the previous owner ran Benoil by Klotz, so that's what I bought but the quad still has gas left over in the tank when I bought it. Meaning, I haven't put new gas in it yet. So, any of you guys ever had your quads sound like a Jake-brake and topping out too soon? Right now, I'm redoing the front suspension and a-arms. So while I'm waiting for some parts, I won't be able to ride it. Like I said, it starts first kick every time, idles nice, revs, but when I was riding it through 2nd gear, it just acts funny. I was wondering if I should check the power-valve and carb and maybe switching premix oil
