Can't imagine they went anywhere good-lol. I'll put this one on the shelf and keep a eye out for another jug.

That's fairly common to see especially on a sleeved cylinder. But just cleaning up and rounding the boysen port area next to the sleeve will do that.
The little chunks are not missing per say, just ported away. Suzuki should of put a little more material there.

Hmmmm, I think I know someone with a brand new top end. Jug, head, dome, piston, etc., and all has already been checked out by a builder on here. Hey Carl! It cost me a pretty damn good penny, but since I can't use it, and have no need for it, if someone stepped up and made me a solid offer, bye bye. Lol

I paid $475 for that top end. If you double the $150.... That's where I would need to be. And I'm not paying to ship these parts anymore lol unless Carl says he shipped them back to me and I owe him.

250.. It was stock porting with a new sleeve in it, Carl checked this thing over and said it was good to use.

Can you tell from the pic what it may be ported for? If its a midrange style porting I may use it if there is still life in the sleeve. I ride trails so a top end type port is of no use to me. The engine ran pretty good, case halves sprung a leak is why im tearing it down. This is the engine I had you send back to me because of the big financial suprise I got slapped with.

That picture tells absolutely nothing about the way It will run, other than it may have poor throttle response if the transfers and ex port are not set up rite.

That cylinder AA has here is actually a OEM sleeve it looks good, bored and ready to go. i havnt measured it just looked it over quick. Seems to be a nice stock. Cylinder.

Without some measurements Its hard to say what there set up for anyone who says they can tell you is really just guessing and looking at looking at width of ports. Which is poor indicator.

Can anyone chime in regarding my cylinder? Comparing it to OP's it's even more shaved i think. Anyone have a guess what kind of porting it is?

You are not showing us the ports that make much of a difference on the power. We need to have port widths, port heights, port angles on the transfer and exhaust ports where the ports intersect the bore.

About 80% of the power gains are made from the transfer and exhaust port window back into the port tunnel about !/2 inch.

Rub out a port map and start measuring. It is a solid start, better than snapping a picture and asking someone else.

see if you can put a sheet of paper in it and try to outline the ports, remember in school when you could take a penny and a pencil
and rub the pencil on it sideways and it would copy the penny. you need to try something like that so you can get measurements. guys like us dont have the correct tools to get down in there and measure them. try to copy the everything inside the cylinder.

the only time you can guess how an engine is going to run via a picture of the intake is when the ports look something like this LOL

the cylinder on the right is whats on the CR85 we built. It came off a shifter kart lmao
