Has anyone had any luck with painting there engine with regular krylon spray paint and had good results with it holding up ?
Don't paint cylinder or head with regular paint use heat temp.
Any idea on what is a good match I found a krylon that is close but not in heat paint
What color are you looking for? There are many colors out there.
Ive had good results using DupliColor Engine Enamel in the rattle cans. Good to 500°.
Along these same lines I'd like to know what a good Suzuki blue match is.
I may do my spindles this spring. Better yet anyone know where they could be powder coated to match?
krylon true blue gloss matches pretty good but it is not heat paint
Go to a auto parts store that has paint
****. That Ford Blue (Dupli-color DE1601) looks like it will match. Also, maybe the VHT SP126 Early Chrysler Blue
RAL5010 is the best match I found. It is nearly the same color as Krylon True Blue and paint and powercoat shops can match it. All the blue on my 500 is 5010 powder.
My frame was powdercoated with RAL5017 the first time around. I hated it. I was re-done in 5010 and looks great.
Take a look through my build pics.

I painted my engine with Krylon True Blue and its held up well.Just my .02
+1 on the powdercoat color RAL5010 just had my bike done and it's very very very close to stock color.
I had just gotten my frame powder coated and it was done with Ral 5005 i am not sure how diffrent it is from the 5010 but it looks very close, and sweet ! I had asked the powder coater about getting a rattle can to match and was able to get it and he had said that it would hold up on the motor and cylinder just not the head . i hope he is right !
