top end rebuilt. ran for 1/2 hour and quit. gets fire and fuel but wont run. think its compression but not sure. looking for suggestions. thanks.
Did it backfire, and or "pop" when it quit?
How extensive did you go on the rebuild? How does it feel when you kick it over? What fuel and fuel / oil ratio were you running when it quit?
it bogged out like I fouled a plug
as far as rebuild, we did everything but the crank and bearings. as for the kicking, it was normal, and fuel and fuel oil ratio 93 octain fuel and oil was 34:1
does it hit at all Maybe take a look at the key in the flywheel
no, it doesn't act like it wants to start, but its getting fire and fuel
Well if you have fuel and spark all you're missing is compression, do a compression test and go from there.
If you have fuel, fire and compression.
Then timing needs to be verified..... Check to see if the flywheel key was sheered or not installed during the reassembly.
