After I shut the engine off the kick starter sprung forward and
**** the clutch cover. Anyone know what could of caused this. I just ordered another clutch cover off ebay and don`t want the same to happen again.
250 or 500?Did you have the kicker of resently?Having the splines "out of sync"would let the kicker too far forward and contact the cover.
yeah I had the kickstarter off to hook up the return spring it`s a 250. I just bought it and the kick starter return spring wasn`t hooked up. I aligned the two dots on the kick starter gear.And also the kick starter still isn`t returning I did everything by the book
spring probobly came out of its hole and bound up between the gear and inside of the case and
**** it. Got a pic of it? pull side cover and inspect.
How do you sync the splines of the kickstarter? When I installed it I put it at 12 o`clock.
There are timing dots on the shaft and gear.
