Yeah, they aren't cheap.
A good one on eBay should be around half that, but I dunno how GBPs work. [|]
The steel plug should be near the water pump, but I'm not sure the 250 has one. I'm pretty sure it's a Zilla thing. Tell him to take off the impeller bolt (it's left hand threads though! Righty loosy lefty tighty!) and have a look under there.

My 250 had a plug in that hole in the jug. I figured it was a freeze plug.


UK Guy, if you wanna get rid of that cylinder after you get a replacement one,,,, I know a shelf where it can look good and at home with some other engine parts. Whatcha say?

Well the one i linked is $380 which works out £250 GBP ;D So might just go with that if i cant find any where cheaper in the UK.

Thanks il be giving the builder all the info i have and a copy of my service manual so he should be alright.

Yeah seems cheap really for a new cylinder. I'm still waiting for other quotes but more than likely be as high!  ::)

Yep staying put :P lol, I want to compare the porting on both so if i ever get the new one ported i can show them the last error :D
