Hole Question !!

• 1992 250 just want to ride but getting nowhere fast .!!
    under the water pump there is a small hole ( about 1/8 th dia i guess) is there suppose to be a gromit or something in the hole .it looks to uniform to have been made by a stone or something .what goes in it and where do i get one .Clymers doesnt seem to mention it ??.help getting depressed!!!

• if its not threaded, its called a wheap hole. I spelled wrong. if it leaks you need a new water pump seal, about $30

• If the water pump weep hole is weeping oil, check the coolant to verify if there is oil mixed in with it. More likely, you need to replace the case seals.

• If its weeping oil it just might be the oil seal on the pump shaft.

• not a hint of oil in the coolant. but the bolt that holds the pump in that has rubber washer around it looks a bit chewed up and tatty . will investigate further.Every time i take things apart i learn a little more!!
