Getting a new throttle.
« on: January 31, 2014, 06:55:28 am »
Just to make sure that i'm not making a mistake. I was planning on picking up a thumb throttle from a raptor 660, with the cable. I'm under the impression that this throttle will work correctly with my stock carb, can anyone confirm or deny this before I end up buying one and finding out for myself O0

Thanks.

A Raptor has a vacuum style carb with butterfly venturi.  I doubt it will be the same cable.

Thanks for the quick reply. heres a link to the one I was looking at picking up. I did notice that they changed the style somewhere and this is the older one.

Somebody on here said that a Honda Throttle works amazingly. maybe I should get one from a 400ex then? or do I need stick to two strokes like a blaster, of banshee throttle  :-\ I'm really looking to get a smoother set up since my current stock is pretty goofy feeling at about half way open.

Blaster and banshee wont work because the end in carb is bigger for tor system. I had use lt250 r on my nephew blaster when I took tor system off. I say honda trx250r would be the ticket. Do you have stock thumb throttle for lt. If so just buy a new lt cable off feebay.
