Why did suzuki ever put the snap ring clip on the drive shaft on the Lt250r . Why didnt they do it like the Zilla  with a nut on the end to hold it tight. Well the problem is im doing a rebuild of my bottom.Well once i got everything apart.I notice where the chain has been rubbing my case above the sprocket. Well after i got the drive shaft out. I was  looking at the thread were the sprocket slips over the drive shaft .They are wore out.Letting the sprocket to rock forward on the drive shaft  and it wobbles  side to side. Im going to replace the shaft. But has any only ever tap the shaft and used a bolt to hold the sprocket tight. I had other quads that the sprocket bolts to the shaft and never had a problem with it. But if this was possible it would help out a lot i think. So if any ones has tried let me know how it worked out for you. It a shame i couldnt use a Zilla drive shaft and convert it over.

I was just going what oem parts finder was calling it. They must of switch names on it, i remember seeing output shaft before  or in my manual  one of the 2 places. I was think about  trying to drill in the middle of it, already has the hole started, Worth a try none the less. Im ordering a new one in the morning.  so real isnt going to hurt anything to try. I checked my 87 bottom end, it isnt as bad but it still wobbles. But it has ate my case up pretty good. If i dont stop the problem, right side of my case is going to be shot. Other then that everything has went well with rebuild, except the phillips  screws that hold shifting drum  plates and the phillips  screw that hold the bearings. I got one out with out striping the threads had to easy out the rest.

I was having the same problem and I was having a small amount of oil leaking through the o-ring on the shaft I put a thicker o-ring on and it snugged it right up

That's good I was gonna make a washer because mine was doing the same thing but the o-ring made it perfect
