I have a 87 zilla with vforce reeds fmf pipe and I think a 88mm piston or a 88.50 with a stock carb and I live in new jersey wondering on what jetts I should use or any suggestions on how to make it powerfull it seem slugish
Do you know for sure what jets are in it now?Only reason I ask is if you bought the quad used ya never know whats been done.
No I'm not sure I can only assume there stock but you never no would it help if I look tomorrow and repost them
A tight leak free motor, nice spark, and proper fuel air mixture the. Learning to tune the carbie takes a few tries to get it. But the down side is get it wrong and it's melt down. A key piece of equipment is your nose. You can smell when the mill is burning lean. The ear too. If the pilot is real lean and you go from WFO to nuttin and you don't here the ding ding ding, there is not much gas in there. The carbie is easy to get the hang of and once you learn how to tune it 20 seconds seconds of tuning before you ride and it'll friggin rip for ya. There are some good carb tuning manuals. Read up and ask some questions. Focus on the pilot and main jets.
