So my kicker when I got my bike has none of the parts on it that I got from Shawn to rebuild it minus the little ball bearing. So I'm clueless on how these parts go on in regards the the little spring bearing and rubber o ring. Any help is appreciated I've looked for an explodes view but they all show the kicker already on the pivot gear.
Mines alittle sloppy also
just take it apart, take out phillips screw, old
**** will fall out.
put new spring and ball in it tighten back up. very easy
There's no spring in mine or rubber O ring or Phillips screw lol I have an Allen bolt holding the kicker on the pivot gear.
I ended up putting a thick o-ring on mine. It's perfect.

The allen bolt holding the kicker on is stock.
He's talking about the Philips that holds the kicker on to the pivot thingy. That's the technical term.
I'm referring to where the Phillips screw goes there's an Allen bolt not the bolt that retains the kicker to the gear shaft out of the case cover.
probably from one of those ss bolts kits then.
Zoom in on the kicker and you'll see what I'm talking about the Allen bolt head is about a 1/4" out from flush with the kicker so I have a nice dent in my clutch cover one of the main reasons in rebuilding the thing! So where's the little spring go? In assuming the ribber I ring goes between the kicker and where it seats down onto the pivot gear.
When you take it apart and look at it it will be pretty self explanatory. You'll see a hole that the spring and ball go into, the groove the oring goes in and the Phillips head screw replaces the Allen head you currently have.
Ya pretty self explanatory once you get at it.I used one of his kits on my 250,worked great.I think the new o-ring tightens things up more than anything.
Extremely self explanatory once you have it apart. Thing is so nice and smooth nothing like it was before. Didn't start it so don't know if it will have the chattering rattle like it had or not but I'm guessing it won't.
The reason you have a dent in the cover is because you are not using the stock footpegs. The stock pegs have a tab that keeps the kicker from rotating too far. Watch out, you can crack the case that way.
No that's wrong because I haven't even kicked the bike over with the ltr pegs on. I have cycled the kicker over by hand and foot with the plug out multiple times for clearance purposes and to check kicker stop and foot clearance. The reason I have a dent in the cover is because of the Allen bolt that was in the kicker stuck off the face of the kicker about a quarter to a half inch. The ltr pegs I have installed stop the kicker before it comes close to touching the case cover however I'm adding an extra bit of material to the pegs just the same for an added kicker stop.
I'll make a video next time I'm at the shop to demonstrate. I threw the Allen bolt that was in the kicker away so I can't show you how big the head on it was. The picture above is from back in September when I first got the ltr pegs I put them on for mock up. They're on the bike again now because my stock pegs were sent to JDS customs for measurements to make stock symmetrical lowered replacements and fat peg replacements. The ltr pegs are getting modified to be level and have kick stop material added.
Didn't feel like pulling it away from the wall to shoot video here's some pics of the clearance with the ltr pegs on.

And one of the dent from the Allen head bolt. This dent was here when I got the bike.
Ok so rebuilt the kicker and it's nice and tight as far as chatter when it's running there's no slop like play in it. However, when I'm riding and getting on it in the trails the kicker constantly swings out in the kick ready position. Anyone have an idea of what I can do to prevent this? Thanks all!
New spring and little ball is what locks it in place. Didnt put ball in in first. Ha ha that sounded dirty.
I replaced the ball and spring from the kicker rebuild kit I got from Shawn. Maybe the ball fell out when I was installing the kicker? If it did how do I get another ball lol?
B Fuss maybe I can get some new powerbands to hold it in place! lol Think this is what happens when your powerbands wear out?
on the kicker knuckle, theres a little channel that the ball runs in and in the "in" position theres a divet that the ball pops into that supposed to hold the kicker in. the lip between divet and channel may be worn down too much for the ball to hold it in place,,,,,,
