Never made a wheelie bar before anyone have a diagram or picture of one I could use for reference?
Here are a few tips... not telling u how to do it. Its up to you weather u take them or leave them. Use nothing other than chromoly tubing the flex is good and will be alot softer upon launch. Use heim joints at all intersecting points never mount a bar ridgid! Measure your wheelbase of bike and add 6-8 inches thats your bar length making the bar to short is #1 mistake i see it will actually cause your back wheels to unload causing total traction loss. good luck
So I want it to be mounted soley to the swing arm? I though the upper supports got mounted to the sub frame or rear frame section. I'm also clueless on what a heim joint is. Looks like your bar is mounted with tie rod ends.
every builder is different. if you run a shock or a Marvin Shaw on the rear I could see it needing to be mounted on the swingarm. if its mounted on the subframe, when the bike launches it would squat and change your height on the wheelie bar tire. if you run a strut or a rigid bike it can be mounted either way.
I'm also clueless on what a heim joint is. Looks like your bar is mounted with tie rod ends.
You can see what a heim joint is in Cunningham's 1st picture. A tie rod end is what is on the ends of your steering tie rods.
the reason i have mine mounted to the swinger is cuz i like to have a little bit of suspension travel as compared to ridgid being that i race on dirt and not sand helps me get better traction.
