What are ya'll doing for restoring faded plastic? I removed the stickers from my
plastic and the areas underneath look brand new but the exposed areas... not so much.
there are very few scratches, just faded to a dull yellow from the Sun.
to a degree you can buff the plastic to blend it. once the plastic is faded you usually sol. There's a product Napa sells called total look you can soak that to it. It will help the blue plastic more than the yellow. My suggestion, get custom graphics from ESJ HE DID MINE AND YUZA's very nice and can hide a lot.
pretty bad picture. but carls right Esj is the place to go for LT graphics.
Oh If you go with the Graphics Don't use any vinyl dressings, ie total look ,vinylex armor all It will make them lift . Wipe the plastics with lacquer thinner before you put them on, then wipe them down with something after to replenish the oils in them.
Thanks for the replies. is esj a member here or a vendor? I have experimented on some scrap plastic
but the results were crappy for a lot of work put in. I was thinking about a custom graphics place down the
road from me and having them roll me a couple sheets of a background I like, then cutting them
as I want. I dunno. I'm putting a lot more planning and unique work into this quad than any other I have owned.
