500 arms require modifying the mounts.  They are not a direct bolt on.

Don't modify the mounts. Just trim the a-arms. That's what I'm doing.
Then the front will be good,,, I'll just need an AXLE...... Lolol

I would like to build a hybrid but will not get rid of a Zilla to do it. I love the big chassis and comfy layout.
Ain't ever seen it......but I have heard it.

I had buddys with hybrids every1 beat up the 250 frames. imo a 250 frame isnt designed for that much motor. thats like putting a 383 in a chevette. btw the 500 can be easily down in the 325 range my trail 500 is 325 with stock frame and all stock suspension.

wow that's good cuningham!  ive been lightining my 500 up, so far ive got around 15 lbs off it from last year, and that's also with adding weight for extended swinger, im gona find out how much the total savings over a stocker is when im done, my 500 had some stuff already removed when I bought it so id guess its 20-25lbs lighter total from stock

Some of the worst things on a 500 are things like the grab bar.  That was first thing i pitched

It'd be cool to see a thread (sticky) that showed places and numbers of where you can lose weight on the zilla...
i.e.:  Stock exhaust vs. aftermarket = xx lbs
Stock grab bar vs. PRM aluminum = xx lbs

That would be a lot of work for someone though, and we would need someone who has a lot of stock and aftermarket stuff for the Zilla, and has a nice shipping scale....  -->eh hem...John!!??

nope not a chance
life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sidays totally worn out shouting "HOLY SH*T...WHAT A RIDE!"

Quit asking questions and just build a hybrid.     The zilla is a wide and long tank.   Great n dunes  or open spots.   Hybrid is very nimble with major power.   D?
