Update: T-Day + 4

What little left to save has been saved. Between bein there right after the tornado passed on Monday and loadin up whatever we could then and getting in there Wednesday morning early enough to get into the neighborhood. Wednesday afternoon 3 of my Air Force 4 wheelin buddies was barely able to get in, they told the check point people they were goin to the 'command post' and they showed up and we got a lot of stuff loaded up. Thursday was just goin thru a lot of junk piles in the house n seein if there was anything worth saving/salvaging. Which there wasn't much. I talked to my insurance adjuster dude tonight, apparently I have some pretty good insurance according to the coverages he told me, so that's encouraging. I signed up with FEMA on Tuesday...not holding my breathe on help from them so we'll see. I should hear back from them early next week.

Its been a long exhausting week. Today I laid in the floor in front of the fireplace with my dog sharing her bed. My head n shoulders were on here bed, back on the floor, calves n feet up on the hearth, mom said I was layin there snoring lol. Doesn't sound too comfy but when you're wore smooth out it doesn't matter where you lay I guess.

I didn't have any issues with looters. Monday I had my 9mm on my hip, couldn't get to my house Tuesday, Wednesday I was warned by animal control to be careful of people askin for water, they could be looters, so I slung my 41 magnum on my shoulder Wednesday, thusday I had my 9mm on me again. So, no good story of shooting looters or makin them **** themselves or anything like that.

Monday after I got home from work, around 2:20pm, I was watchin the news/weather. When the weather dudes said it was at like 164th n May (West/S. West of me) and they said it was moving East N. East, I knew it was time to bug out. The tornado basically chased me outta my house/neighorhood, so I drove a mile section to the south, back west, then north then back east, I chased it out of my neighborhood, then I drove to close to my house n asked a guy *as I pointed to the East* 'what street was this? he replied '12th', I said thanks, I was on 11th....I made it home and I stayed there till curfew. I didn't want to leave w/o knowin there was gonna get some kind of security, I was ready to pull my own security detail but the law enforcement said the National Guard was gonna be doin security so I left. No one was allowed back in until Wednesday. Tuesday city workers, gas n electric people were all over makin sure the gas leaks were under control n stuff. So I got flats fixed, insurance going, signed up with FEMA n just got ready to get in there on Wednesday.

There it is in a nutshell. I'll have more pictures n stuff up sooner or later.
