It's because the people's republik of commiefornia is ran by liberals. They need your money and will get it however they can.

Imperial if you must get technical. Its crazy. I can remember being at Pismo when it was all tents and one random toy hauler. Now its all toy haulers and a kids tent here and there. I wish Imperial was in Arizona instead of Cali.

And use "Public" lands that we've already paid for and funded with our tax dollars!

Sorry crash Lander, not trying to be technical but im about a 30 min drive to the sand dunes and go through out the year so i try to be specific about what spot so i can meet up at the correct one.i don't say lets meet at glamis when I'm actually at Gordon wells or buttercup. Had some issues with that before trying to find some friends haha. It sucks trying to find someone at comp hill when they are actually at competion hill!

It would be different if there was hook ups for RVs & such but it's all self contained camping. You park & camp in the desert. According to to some of the BLM guys I talk to, the rate increase is to pay for trash collection and law enforcement & EMS services. Funny thing is that law enforcement is paid by tax money while EMS bills the patient or insurance carrier directly. Someone there is full of sh-t!

No worries PCS, I know what you mean. Are you going to be out there the weekend of Nov 1st? Im aiming to be in butter cup.
I have a 3.5 - 4 hr drive out of tucson, must be nice. Wish I could Robbie Gordon to Imperial with a helicopter and already have all my gear ready for me though.

brian: you know i think very low of BLM and feel they are almost "worthless." no surprise to my that a bs department will give you a bs answer.

Another strike is now for the season pass it is a sticker that permanently attaches to the front window of your tow vehicle. So for the person like me who has multiple tow vehicles and takes either a truck or suv depending on the situation is screwed.

Not sure how it is in Cali, but the Little Sahara in Oklahoma literally funds EVERY state park in Oklahoma.

Nope...
They did increase the season pass cost to $150. What bothers me more is they made it a window sticker to be stuck on the window(suks for me). Weekly passes are still mirror hanger placecards. Off-site is $35, with a discount option of $25 for a second pass, with your choice of weekly date on it. Buying On site is $50 weekly... so get your pass before you get there at a bike shop, or lot of other places sell them also.

Holly Chit! Are you kidding me! 90-150 just to go to the dunes. Man just drive up to Utah. I freeked out when they upped the price from 10.00 to $18.00 at little saharra dunes by delta Utah. But they do have running water, camp ground (fire pit and grills) and running water--and we have the tallest rideable dunes in the US. That cost is FREEKIN insane.--does it include free race fuel, free pizza and beer?
