Help--I need a measurement
« on: April 19, 2013, 08:29:22 pm »
I Need to know the distance (or gap) between the front plastic chain slider on the front of the swingarm and the inside of the frame.

My frame is being gusseted and I was contemplating adding a gusset to the inside of the frame by the swingarm  bolt hole.   My concern is if the added thickness of a gusset there would contact the sides of the chain slider. I cant remember what kind of clearance is there.

GRKGUY--A measurment from you ir anyone would be greatly appreciated.  No my frame did not crack there but i have heard it is a potential weak spot--ounce of preventation thing for me...    After blasting the frame I was pleased to find no cracks but i did have two small cancer/rust spots that had to be addressed.

Once I get a measurement of swingarm to chain slider clearance I can determine if I want to add a reinforcing plate and then get it off for powder coating monday.
