Has Anybody Used U-Ship Before?
« on: February 14, 2013, 11:17:13 am »
Hello I was wondering if anyone has used Uship before.  I found a quad in Minnesota but obviously I am not going to drive the 1750 miles each way to pick it up.  I was just wondering if anyone had any experience good or bad doing this, also do I just pay the seller for the bike and then just pay the shipper when it arrives.  Thanks guys appreciate your time.

I'm pretty sure my uncle used uship to get his Harley from Cincinnati to Seattle For a pacific coast ride And it was inexpensive and he had zero problems with condition of his bike upon arrival. Not really sure how payment works I'm sure if you call or email they will be able to explain that to you.

This guy here used uship to pick up a sweet 250 instead of making a 5hr drive.  Says so on reply #5.  http://www.suzukiquadracerhq.com/lt250r-general-discussion/brought-home-a-really-nice-1991-lt-250r/

That is a good price.  I found a zilla on CL in Minnesota and would need it shipped.  I signed up for uship and did there free quotes this morning and have 2 offers already.  The lowest offer yet is $750.00 and if I was to drive and obviously im not because its like 53 hours of driving round trip and $1100 for gas is not a good option for me.

Yeah I have seen the show and I would not use that guy with the attitude or the kid who is always late and breaks everything.  Thats what opted me to ask if anyone has used it and get there take.

Call Tom Sharp of
Tom Sharp Trucking
He lives in East Moline Il but he is always on the road crossing the US

I found him on U ship and used him to ship a quad from WV to So Cal and it was priced very well also Grk used him to ship Scammy to OH from CA.

He has like 1 mill in damage insurance, he was a little late on my shipment due to east coast storms but I was very happy with the bike NOT being damaged and shipped inside.

I bought a quad on ebay and had it shipped 2000 miles through uship. I received several bids under $450 but went with a $450 bid because of the shippers excellent feedback, quick time frame and he used an enclosed trailer. Everything went perfectly.
Payment is set up like this:
1. You deposit funds into a uship account after agreeing to a bid.
2. Once the item is delivered in satisfactory condition, you release funds to the shipper.

I had one of my race car bodys and 8 rims shipped through Uship from Iowa to Michigan. It was $250 and took up the whole bed of his truck and extended cab. He was an old retired guy from Minnisota he was picking up a snowmobile and trailer in Iowa going to southern michigan and it was $300 to ship the sled. So he made $550 dollars for 12-15 hrs driving. Great guy and no complaints from me, even drank a couple beers with him.
