LT500 Featured in New ATV UTV Magazine

Man I wonder how much money Ducan Racing spends with that magazine to get front page picture and spreads every year.  I like it, its good to keep our zillas alive and in the public eye.  Young kids today cant imagine the power hit of a strong 2 stroke or appreciate the smell of an oil burner as the sun comes up.  MMMMM will winter never end here..I want to ride..

I would like to see them test and feature a LT500 built buy Q or Halls.

I saw that as well! I hope younger guys like me (19yrs old) keep the zillas alive! 450's are cool and all but no where near the power of the 500! :) I own both

The article is on the first page of the duncanracing website and is a good article and lets people that may not be familiar with these machines in the know especially the part about leaving healthy 450's in a trail of roost lmfao.  The thing I don't like about the article is duncans website talks about there dyno tuning so I wish they would have had some hp improvement numbers for your well earned $1500 for the national package they offer.  Even better if they had a video so we could see it run.  My brother had a trinity stage IV complete power package with a trinity in frame and a out of frame trinity pipe that connected to his foot peg.  I never raced him with his drag pipe but my nearly stock bike with a properly jetted and old fmf pipe would keep with him through 3 gears and then he would slowly pull me but it wasnt that hard of a pull. The pull was so little I really believe any of these newer pipes would have let me keep up with him.  So my conclusion is if I do not hear any hp numbers for my hard earned $1500 I am not springing for some kit when I can save at least $500 on a great pipe.  It is like a great engine builder for the kawasaki tecate told me.  I can build you a big bore kit that runs like a **** ape but if you don't have a big enough pipe and bigger carburetor you are not going to see the improvement you are looking for and he emphasized the pipe and funny enough FMF pipes suck on tecate too they burn the side plastic because they rub and those plastics are expensive as all get up.  Sorry to rant I do love the exposure the zilla is getting maybe someone that has one of these kits can give us a dyno result.

It's nice to see you young guys having such an appreciation for an old Animal. Saw my first 86QR when I was 8 new in the showroom and fell in love. Turned 14 and got a 90 LRD 250QR, which I just had returned to me after 16 years. Finally got a Zilla 5 yrs ago and then found the old site. now I have at least 4 QR's in various state's and I just bought freds hybrid. By the way i'm 35 now  >:D

LMAo quadman yeah I am only 33 and didnt have my first zilla till around 1996 or 1997 and it held up way better then me.  That quad kicked my butt.  I only weighed about 160 pounds and was and still am 6' 3" tall so I was really skinny and weak back then so needless to say i went over and off the bike a couple times, but I guess it made a man outta me.

Mercenary223--Yah when I bought it I was 6,4" 168 lbs.  A walking tooth pick.  Now 6'5" 270---I can hear my zilla grown under my weight.
