Dingy FMF pipe any ideas on shining it back up ?

Hey guys , just like the post says , I have a FMF pipe on my 92 LT and at one time it was polished or chrome and its looking super dingy , any good ideas on a safe way to get it shined up without messing it up underneath the grime ? Thanks for any input.

A good degreaser & pressure washer works really well. You may have to scrub alittle. Then go over it with with Turtle Wax Chrome Cleaner & Polish.

use 0000 steel wool with some polish in it, it does wonders takes any blems and signs of rust off.

OK guys I made a mistake its bare finish , Im deployed right now (be back shortly ) but I was looking at a set of pictures so I just figured it was dirty , so I guess my next question is , has anyone had there pipe chromed , any idea on cost?

150 to 200 to get pipe chromed, but it will need a acid bath first since it is a used pipe. it must be clean
and free of any oil dirt , inside and out

ok  cool , looks like it might be better to get a new one if I went the chromed route, thanks for the input though! You just saved me 2 hours of worthless googling for an answer!

just use what i said you will be happy with the way it turns out. remember tho the more zeros the finer
the grit on the steel wool, any hardware store will have that stuff. use it and your favorite polisher.

i have a chrome pipe it had an exhaust leak as it went in to the flange and had burnt oil all over chrome how can i get that off without ruining pipe
