O ring replacement kit ...thinking about for the Store
« on: April 18, 2013, 11:48:10 pm »
Been thinking of putting together a O ring Replacement kit  in the store for the LT500 and LT250, different types include Pro Design o rings ( Outter in inner) the dome o rings ( the 2 on the Dome) and to include  the copper washers and Chromed Acorn Tall Flanged Nuts (12mm)

Working on a deal on the Acorn Nuts, want the 12mm Flanged-smooth and plated, have to buy in lots of 100, washers and O rings are easy find when bought in lots of 25 or more

Are you talking o rings for o ringed heads or o rings for the head studs? I was under the impression from Jerry that putting o rings under the washers and acorn nuts would cause leakage? I may be wrong and misquoting Mr Hall.

Yes for O-ringed heads, don't use o-rings on the nuts they will leak.

So I did accurately quote Jerry. Now I don't feel dumb.
