an almost stock tecate 4, definitely unfair
the lt250r had a smaller carb than the others, guess they had to do something to hold it back.
only the trx got a suspension upgrade

Funco A arms.  Is that the funco that builds buggies now?  If so bet there are not many of those around

Kinda suspected that....See it in snomo mags all the time, whoever spends the most advertising in the mag never gets a bad review.

Dirt wheels did a modded banshee vs. modded raptor shootout a few months back.. Spent less than half the $$ on the shee and it still won.. Then they tried to make the conclusion sound kind of like a tie.  I have lost so much respect for that mag over the years.  Nothing has changed in over 20 years.

i agree that they are bias but the with the banshee its hard to base a comparison on $$$. i look at them as a small block 350 chevy. whats been done has been done and all the parts are much cheaper for them compared to other atvs.

It really sucks that we have to revert to a forum to find out info that should have already been reported on objectively in a magazine.
...that gives me an idea.
Hey Mitch, you can advertise your pipes and this forum in Dirt Wheels, then we'll get some real traffic!

Yes I'm pretty sure it's the same companey, they were one of the few to do aftermarket suspension stuff for Tecate's. And I agree with WTK mitch we should be in dirtwheels :)

I like the dirtwheels idea.  Also the rider on the zilla needs to be in vintage suzuki racing riding gear.  He should probably have a modern helmet though. The old open face with the plastic roost guard might not be the best move.

I've got a bumpsteer eliminator kit for a 250 made by funco back in the early days.
Never heard of one? I haven't either...guess its pretty rare.
BTW...they are the same company that builds sand cars.
