I bought a Missouri Freedom 1700 watts max 5 blade wind turbine 12v and 440 amp 10,000 watt digital charge controller High amp model it has a 14 magnet rotor inside and a skewed stator core for easy turning stainless steel shaft
Ok hears my problem got it hooked up my voltage was fluctuating took it down to inspec I found the shaft was spinning in the rotor I contacted them I returned the pmg couple weeks went by so I contacted them again they said its siting hear waiting to be shipped I had to pay for shipping again that made me a little upset but I just wanted my stuff fixed so I payed it got it back. now it wont turn by hand it turn easly before I sent it back It turned by hand easly before the rotor started slipping in the shaft before they fixed it
Sorry not quadracer related but this place peed me off lol what should I do I already have over $70 in shiping should I send it back or try and fix it I really don't want to deal with them I got over 500 I this pos now
If its a permanent magnet set up, you will feel resistance even if the windings are skewed. The skewed stator is there mostly for a cleaner signal.
I cant turn it by hand at all I could turn it before by hand On there video they turn them by hand with ease I gess im going to have to send it back again GRRR
yeah sounds like it might a good idea. got any pics of it?
Just looked em up, Make sure no shipping debris made it in between the rotor and stator. Put an adjustable wrench on the nut and se what it does. No need to super man it, but work it back and forth. It could just be some of the epoxy the use in the windings jamming up the tight clearance between the rotor and stator.
Thanks for the help gillio
I found the problem I took it apart and found 1 of the bearings was messed up im going to pick up a new bearing tomorrow something must happen when they reassembled it
