I am new to the site and I am buying my son a Banshee next week and the guy also has a very clean LT-Z400 I am going to buy myself for $800.00. after looking at it I noticed it had a cv carburetor on it and that is not going to work for me. And after searching forums and websites I have found myself in you good people’s graces. I use to run 4 individual dirt bike carbs (Mikuni’s) on my pro stock Suzuki drag bike. This was in the 80’s around the time the flat slides started to come on the scene. I know someone on this site knows just what I need to make this work for me with a flat or round slide Mikuni or Kienen carburetor. Please help with a kit or jet size, anything to point me in the right direction. I can’t let that him on that Banshee be faster than me. Thank for your help in advance. Peace.

A flat slide or any type of carb is not going to make the Z400 a Banshee killer, especially if the Banshee is stock with just a good set of pipes.  I would leave the stock carb on the Z400.  If you plan on beating the Banshee you probably need to pass on buying the Z400 and buy something that has more potential for making a lot of power
