United Kingdom LT500R Engine Builders
« on: January 14, 2014, 04:46:44 pm »
Hi guys.

Does anyone know of any reputable engine builders in the UK that know their way around a zilla engine?

As it stands, Mick Abbey Racing is up for porting and building my engine - anyone used him?

All suggestions welcome.

Cheers.

Send Austen a PM, he's in the UK and has been around Quadracers for awhile. He should be able to help you out.

Thanks for the response. Will this chap be able to carry out porting too or is he purely a builder?

Cheers.

He's not a builder, but has re-done several quadracers and may know a engine good builder in the UK with experience on these old bikes. (Y)

Hi Gary

I'm from the UK and been into these bikes for many years now, I had the LT250S when they first came out in the 80's

If you want the cylinder ears welding, jug porting and boring I can get it done for you properly by an experienced 2 stroke machine shop.

I had my 250 cylinder done last week and it turned out great, have a look at my 250 build thread in the members build thread section

Having my 500 jug done the same in the next few weeks

I'll send you a email

I wouldn't use Philip Charles Leisure IMO, they are cowboys and there customer service sucks big time.
