OMG the horror!!!!!
« on: September 15, 2013, 11:38:44 am »
So I pulled the jug on my 500.

I can't believe people who do this are allowed to own things.  --> --> --> --> --> --> --> -->

Simply amazing!

Good news is the piston is a new Wiseco unit. But it seems to have some side to side motion. Is that okay?

Funny you mention that. It's missing and so is the spring to preload it.

Yep base gasket wasn,t gonna leak.lol

I,ve yet to buy an old quad or snowmobile that hasn,t been butchered in some way.Stuff this old has has too many hands and years for people not mess something up.I never take anyones word for it.

Bought my 500 in pieces with cylinder already off but bottom end was clean and supposedly rebuilt.Once taken apart the counter balance gear was missing a tooth,bearing completely missing on the power valve and crank wasn,t pressed fully and was rubbing on the cases.And this was rebuilt by a cycle shop...Nothing surprises me.
Can,t fix stupid.:)

Also. Part number on the piston points to a 88.5mm.

Should it be jetted for this?
