LT500 leakdown test - what intake & exhaust plugs?
« on: January 09, 2014, 10:56:47 am »
So I'd like to have my Quadzilla leak tested prior to an upcoming trip. I've got a guy with a tester but not the plugs needed to do the job.
Anyone know what "plugs" I could buy to allow me to get this done?

Measure your intake and exhaust diameter and go to Home Depot. Is the tester going through the spark plug hole? If so make sure you don't go over like 7 psi it's not a car engine and you'll blow the crank seals out at like 10 psi+ I believe.

exhaust port is smaller than 2in, 1 7/8 plug will work fine. take off exhaust flange and stuff it in. and the intake is the same. you can get a 2in plug if it has the 3 rubber ribs on it, its a tight fit. but it will work. lowes has them or tractor supply or rural king.
