Good **** Ken! Looks like you have some fun open spaces by the homestead to rip it around! Can't wait to get my gopro mounted and get into this house so I can start keeping my bike in my own garage so if I wanna take a quick spin I can. Jealous of you man!

Thanks gays Chuckie I don't really like to keep the zilla wide open like that all the time but I couldn't resist that abandoned road I planed on swapping out the sprockets just for that road until I looked at the front tires on that run it's pretty scary when you see how big the tires get at that speed there was actually a gap between the tire and the rim  :o Buckeye nothing to be jealous about it's not my property. LOL I wish that was my property.

I just meant its nice to see someone run the hell out of a zilla, didn't mean just for that full long road rip lol

And yea it's crazy how much tires will swell! When it snowed and we went out and rode the streets it was all iced over and my 20x10 holeshots turned into like 23x8's lol

Looks like your riding area is a deserted zombie apocalyptic walking dead episode! Killer!!

Cool video -

Will your Zilla idle? Do you have to keep reving it so it wont load up? It sounds rich off the bottom and coming onto the needle.  2c
Ain't ever seen it......but I have heard it.

I'm wondering the same thing as Rider 414. Awesome thread and yes, it's rare to see a video of someone actually stretching the legs on a 500. Thanks for sharing!!

Yes the quad idles good. It did feel and sound like it was running a little rich I think it had something to do with the seven month old gas in it and i could use a new air filter.

I had to watch that video again, I love it. But I got to ask, do you live near the Chernobyl Nuclear plant in the USSR? Or is this the place where they filmed the Blair Witch Project? Looks like an abandoned city with half completed highways that go nowhere. I imagine that's what the world will look like when me and my 'zilla are the last ones left. hahahaha  ;D  Cheers from anutha 'zilla from San Diego  +k2

Stator number 2 took a **** on me. WTF is going on with these stators? Ricks stator lasted about 30 hours and the Ricky stator lasted about an hour and a half this is getting to be very frustrating.  >:(

Can you determine what's going out on those stators? The ignition coil, the pick up, etc. easily visible? Pic?

If it's the coils, I'd keep the OEM stator and put on the Ricky stator 120W coils and make sure it's all set up right & tight.

This has worked good for me so far.

Could something else being bad in the electrical system be causing these to fail? And u agree with Dez what's actually failed? Might help narrow down what's causing the failure.

Looks to me like your fly wheel or crank may have been impacting the stator and that's what caused this not the actual stator itself failing. That's bad man you have no play in your crank right? And that is a 500 flywheel correct? Maybe it was a clearance thing with the Ricky stator being to big or something. I have a stock stator I can sell you for $50 plus the ride if you wanna try to go back to stock and see what happens.

Thanks for the offer Buckeye but Ricky Stator is sending me a new stator now and they said they had a used flywheel in good shape they're sending me too there is no play in the crank it looks like somebody forgot to tighten the screws on the coils all the screws backed out they didn't brake off. I think i'm going to buy a new flywheel anyway. What do you guy's think about lightening the flywheel on the LT500R ?
