Cool vid... Nice mid range /top end  (Y)

Sounds great when it hops on the pipe. Mitch's pipe sounds sweet.  And it's not just because I own one either!

be prepared to modify your reed boot and don't just hack off the flanges. I'm gonna post a picture of my boot (which badmoon helped direct me in modifying) in my build thread today or tomorrow. It takes time and patience and a steady hand.

Any more info on this mod?

Just got my 500 together and wondering what your impression was between riding the 250 and 500?

I will chime in.  I rode a 89 250 for 20+ years before getting a 500.  Yeah, the 250 is fun and all but the 500 is AWESOME!  The massive load of torque it dumps out is TONS OF FUN!  And if you are a taller person, the 500 is a better fit all around.

Edit: I am talking about duning here. I would prefer the 250 on a trail ride...

You took the words rite out of my mouth. AWESOME!!!! and TONS OF FUN!!!! When i ride i ride for about 7 hours at a time. If i had to pick out of all the sport quads out today the LT500R would be my first choice. I think it is very comfortable to ride all day. The 250 just dose not have the power i'm looking for.

I also had a LT250 for awhile. I like the size and layout of the 500. It fits me well. As for power, the 500 is a monster. for reference, see the the video's Ken500R posted.

The 250 would works well for trail use and play riding. I loved my 250 but I had to really beat on it at the dunes.
Ain't ever seen it......but I have heard it.

Well i fired up the zilla today after sitting for about two months three kicks and started right up and ran just as good as it did the last time i had it out for about two minuets and then died out i checked to see if the gas was on it was then i checked to see if it had spark and no spark. I'm thinking it is that RICK's stator i put in it. Do you guy's think the stator could or would go bad after about 35 hours of riding? WTF >:(

Someone posted that there's a Ricky Stator lt500 stator and a ricks lt500 stator. The ricks part was said to be not as good iirc.

Check for broken wires around the pickup.  Stators generally last longer, lol.  D?

Nice! Ken if you want to upgrade your lights if highly recommend the lights through Okledlightbars.com or LEDs through zillafreak on here. I can't remember if you run a headlight or not on your beast.

Sounds costly for a complete bar set up, $55, I can set you up with 2 LED that will clamp to your handle bars.

Installed the new Ricky Stator this morning I had noticed that it had a lot stronger of a spark kicking it buy hand then the Dicks Stator did. Time to put the plastics back on and go for a ride maybe I will post some video tonight.
