I put in super unleaded gas 93 octane I don't have a place with 103 racing gas so it's what I kinda am stuck with I have seen octane boosters but have not added to gas didn't know if they hurt or help engine for these quads
OK the oil I use right now is actually I think meant for for more water craft 2 strokes like my seadoo but it does show picture of quad and dirt bike and states for high output 2 cycles I'll have to get a bottle and see exactly what it is I read somewhere someone using something simular I have not found the one most people say they use on these quads at Wal mart or the auto places the closest quad place is 40 miles or online. I've mixed 100 to 1. 75 to 1 and 50 to 1 even 30 to one 100 to 1 seemed to work best performance wise and smoked less 75 to 1 was good to the rest it smokes alot
A two stroke is suppose to smoke. The only oil the piston, cylinder wall, connecting rod bearing and main bearings get is what you put in the gasoline. No smoke means very little lubrication for the engine. Why not run the transmission without the drain plug, I guarantee the engine will make more power until the transmission seizes up.

If you get your carburetor working correctly you can run the fuel to oil ratio 20:1 without plug fouling problems if you ride it hard all of the time. There are some good articles about oil ratios on this forum. If you want to learn about oil ratios and dispel the folklore I think you may have been taught. Do some searches on this forum.

Oil ratios is a common topic for those that do not have much experience with two strokes. The high fuel to oil ratios is going to eventually create some expensive repairs. We are just trying to keep you from making the mistakes most of us have learned the hard way.
