Engine Rev's up Without Gas!
« on: October 11, 2012, 11:24:40 am »
Someon knows about this problem.
idrive wit my zilla on a highway around of Frankfurt,
I think with 90 kmh or so
During the ride i need to slow down let the clutch and go down the gas
Suddently turns up the engine,
sounds weeeweeeweeeweee, til i let down the clutch.
the same rev high is on every crossroad.
I am with my wisedom at the end,
I hope is not a air leak in the krankshaft.
I hope is a carb prob,
Anybody here knows this problem?
Good ride for anybody
Frank

I would Start with checking your intake , May have some Hair line Cracks

Stick a Leakdown Tester on her, (or Bring it to a local shop if you dont have one, They will Test it and Give you a Report of where/If its Leaking) Must shops will charge 80-100.00 Seeing they have to Pull your Carb & pipe

Oh man.
Another leak down test .
ok is the best i take my selfmade Tester and pull the carb and Pipe down.
witch bar must use to test with soapy water? The clutch and flywheel cover too?
Jess i can !
Oh man i can tell u
In the real, only cars with over 200 hp and bikes with 100 hp
can beat the Zilla in the acelerate to the top end .
i think my zilla is at 160 kmh over and out !

What !
In Amerika !
Absolutely forbidden to ride on steets with a quad or the zilla?

Ho sorry my question was witch psi of air to use for the Test ?
In german is psi = bar= air pressure !

Rogue1970 you are not really happy to ride on strrets.
you need A battery for a turn signal ,
this must glow when motor is off!
Than you must have a permanent light in front 5wattand rear 21 watt
and dipped and main beam both 55 watt a horn and left and rigt turn signal
and a speedometer in city, the highest is 50kmh
and on autobahn the lowest is 60 kmh > till open end 350 or 400 kmh .
aah jess your pipe is not louder than 89 db
when you have all of this than you have no admission.
while at the jear 2005 all things tat move on german streets must have
a katalysator.
tis is a tortoure , every 2 jears jou must go to german Tüv (technikal overwatch )
Is this a dream ?

my dream is rocky mountans serpenties till i die ;-)
Dte best place to ride indipendent is in the french or italian alps they have serpenines or mount passes fr the first World War. ad have not money enough to hold this old streets
In order to ride.

Ok, sounds like a pain Frank :(  But I already have the battery, so the electrical requirements would be no issue, but to have to be under 89db.... yikes that sounds like a pipe that is not going to make a lot of power.

Oh well, I live in CA and it will NEVER happen here.  I'll just settle for a bike on the street and my quad in the sand.

If the tanks running out of fuel, It will suck air changing the inlet air/fuel ratio and leaning it. Hence it winding out low on fuel.
If brains were gasoline, you couldn't power a **** ant's go-cart 2 laps around a cheerio.

Hello People !
I have now taken my Engine to chest, fired the Engine up and let them  run in idle,
and spray with start pilot, on the carb the reeds and around the engine,
the motor run qiet as all the points i sprayed.
then i 'd say the thing is tight.
okay what's next ?
rip out the carburetor, lets see what is going on with that ?
i see  ::)
the petrol was in the float lever is too low, and then bent the plate a millimeter up.
and then i put it all together  take my helmet and lets go make a test on the Autobahn.
the problem with the revving high engine is not completily gone,
but im on my way
thanks all folks to help me fix that problem,
ps. onth te way to the Autobahn, nothig car or bike that beat me .
an 4 girls have looked after me  8)
