well I check into the ceramic bearing, but this does nothing to prevent what I was asking about. Ive did some research and found that the XXl cranks on the banshee motors use a 72mm bearing (given the correct case) the same as the zilla. this made me think I could possibly use a tz/maxload bearing like I used on my cheetah.
anywho, I was thinking as long as the spots that were being hogged out were reinforced buy some welds on the backing side, you could get a larger crank bearing to press in. my plan isn't to build a bb zilla but a less maintenance/more reliable motor and wont have to worry about the weak cases. unfortunetly ive check my cases and feel as if they are done. I will be buying a new set of cases and i want to makesure they don't walk down the same road as every other zilla.
