Carb issues/jetting
« on: September 25, 2014, 06:52:18 pm »
I have a 87 lt500r (quadzilla) I installed stock jets 30 and 420. 112' elevation.  FMF fatty gold series, open air box with foam filter. Hard to kick start and wouldn't idle. 93 pump gas 32:1. when I went lower on slow jet (25) it runs better and will idle. drained tank and filled with race fuel (C12) 32:1. runs even better (at idle) and doesn't diesel anymore. Seems like I'm going in the wrong direction with jets or opposite from what I've learned. Am I doing it wrong? Lol

Just stay away from pump trash (gas).

Thank you. Awesome instructions! The best I've seen, by far.
