Was putting the engine back in the frame and noticed this when putting the exhaust flange on.  It's one thing after another.

Looks like it going to need some welding there on the top mount, looks like a crack.

There is a crack.  It's only on that top block and doesn't go into the exhaust.

Since it doesn't go into the exhaust will it still need to be welded? I mean yes, in the perfect world it would need to be done but what will it harm? and how does that even happen??
