which mounts are giving you trouble?  between the frame and engine?  check the pivot bushings to be sure there all the way in.  also a good time to grease them if there still good.  same thing with the cushion lever pivot where it mounts to the swingarm, check that there in all the way.  if the axle is still in, take it out it makes it easier, or set the swinger up on a jack and then you can work on the front without haveing to hold the rear up.

you can get the shock out without removing the swingarm.  done it a few times before.
