Steering Stem - 87 vs. 88-90 LT500R

Isn't the steering shaft different between the 87 and the 88-90 Zillas?

The parts stores list the same part # for all years - 51650-43B00

I swore they were different?

Nevermind - I did find a different number for the 88-90

51650-43B10

They are different.
