1) if you're going to go this way and measure your own, make sure you account for sag, usually 1" is recommended.

2) Have have ran shaws in the dunes and they where ok, I would say 1 dimensional, set it for one activity but they would not quite work 100% in another aspect. (yes I had coil-overs)

If you're dunning most of the time rebuilt OEM, Elka are the lower budget way to go.  If you're spending $$$ Axis, PEP (but I'm not even sure those are worth the $$), Fox float might be better???

If you're dragging most of the time Shaw is the way to go.
