depends on where you buy your stuff from.

59.95 for the MSD 8232 coil (coil and plug)

319.95 for the MSD 4217 cdi (harness, software and cdi)

i have a custom flywheel with a MSD Hall Effects pickup, but a very good friend of mine uses the stock honda flywheel and pick up with his 370. works fine. he has it running with the ground on the stator floated. uses a battery for startup and than the stator produces enough power to run the ignition.

plug wire

some sort of battery (12v to 18v) i run a Milwaukee 18v cordless battery.

wire crimps, on off switch

a computer to tune the cdi. I use a laptop and the cdi comes with a data link connector so I had to buy a cable from office depot to go from data to usb.

So for maybe a little more than a complete PVL with a generic curve, you could spend a little more and have the better alternative.

But stock works fine on ALL of our bikes.

My MSD is for the Liger. I needed to get everything I can get out of it and with multiple timing points from 0* up to 50* from 0 rpms to 16,000 rpms. I couldnt go wrong.
