Yeah Brian threw it together but didn't follow my advise and tried using some oddball shock.  (last I heard)  When you go this route you just end up throwing Darts at the ride you have because you have something from left field... no engineering whatsoever.

If your going to do this kind of mod on a bike...YOU MUST REPLICATE THE GEOMETRY EXACTLY!!!

 I don't know how many times I have shared this after my own trial and error approach. I went full circle from trying to go no link with the proper rising rate blah blah blah revalving respringing etc... its a nightmare.

The factory designs work because all the engineering works together. If you mount the shock or any piece of the linkage even 5 degrees off it changes things.
