« on: November 04, 2015, 08:35:04 am »
Going to be changing steering stem bushings on both my 87 250,s.Never done one so anyone know what all parts are needed.I have the big bushing but have heard some O-rings and seals in as well.Is there a kit out there?Part #,s?

And is the bushing a pita to get out?

Just want to get the parts required and some input before I tear it apart.Any info is appreciated. :)

its been a while but i did the top and bottom in no time flat. i dont remember needing o rings or seals.  there is a perminent seal inside the large lower washer thingy.

make sure the 2nd little lower washer goes in the correct place. check the parts diagram.

You should be able to get every part you need to replace all bushings o rings and seals from Honda east website. They also have diagrams with part numbers so you can be certain that your ordering the correct part. The upper seem bushing is a pretty critical thing to replace if you have any play in your steer stem. I ordered everything I needed from my local shop but like I said Honda east Toledo would have everything as well.

Ya, it's probably not vital that I have it but it does give added protection.
