Ok, so this might not be for everyone, but I have seen it more at the dunes to where people have been taking stick on colored LED strips and wiring them up through a toggle switch and sticking them under neath their plastic to give it a "underglow appeal" for night riding. can we do this with out stock stators?
something kinda like the attached pic. would be a real head turner for those guys with lots of chrome on their bikes.
Yea you can do it..they take very few amps and watts to run.
just got to make sure your voltage regulator is functioning properly.
I'll play around with it on the wife's 400 before I mess up my wiring more

now I just gotta find some pink ones for hers.
It is easy to do with most 4-strokes as they have DC. A voltage is more steady. With a zilla that uses AC, the voltage isn't as steady. If you do it, make sure you put a resister to keep any voltage surge down so it doesn't blow your LEDs. My dad and I are about to do this to his XP. Putting up LEDs behind the grill, then another as a brake light then some more in the cab. If done right, it looks great.
I would look into a small battery system, there is thread on SQ-HQ showing how to do so, you may decide to LED head lights down the road.
Iofollowed rogues directions works great, I opted for a large motorcycle battery. Having ample light is so nice.
Great link Mitch thank you! I'll have to do that, adding the battery sounds a little more reliable and simple then throwing everything in and hoping for the best.
