I picked up a pair of banshee rear hubs 4x115 24 spline for my stock 86 axle. They fit on just fine except, they do not seem to be as wide as the stock hubs, not normally a problem but they arent long enough for the hub nut to tighten against them. Luckily enough I have large enough washers to put in between the nut and the hub to make it a tight fit.
My question is if this is a normal thing? also is it safe to be putting washer spacers in between these two parts like that?
Should be fine if you can get the cotter pin in.
ok, thanks for the quick reply. I also managed to nab a set of lightly used 8 paddle haulers on banshee aluminum rims for $50.00 that are going to look nasty on the lil 250.

I was pretty suprised to find a set that cheap, normally I cant find a decent used set under $180.00 kinda to be expected though with their new prices being upwards of $300 for a pair of just the rear tires.
If you measure it up and go to tractor supply of hey have a bushing back with the 3 pt hitch pins a d things that work good for spacers. A little bulky but solid. You can also order a piece of 4130 tube in a heave wall. And cut it to length. It ends up being the same as a durablue or old JP axle spacer arrangement.
yep all the way on the back wall in tractor supply, look for the hitch pins for 3 point tractor attachments.
and you will see some spacers, some big some small but they will have them, you can even look for finish mower
spacers for the wheel height.
NAPA usually has them as well if you don't have a TSC close by.
Warrior 350 rear hubs also work for this to. But need spacers
If banshee hubs work, so will yfz hubs
Ok so heres some pics first one is no washers second one is with three the one has to be slightly bigger in diameter to fit over the beginning of the axle splines.
Then here's pics of the tires on. They fit pretty solid. Nothing seems to be loose.they do narrow the rear end just slightly though.
Put the spacers on before the hub and you get the width back.
those rims narrow your rear end? How offset did you have before? those are some deep dishes on it.
I was thinking that too, but wouldn't that 1/4 inch without threads under the hub be a problem? I was also thinking that spacers on the top of the splines would dull them out eventually. Either way I'm stocked to have some cheaper wheel options
Its not the rims that narrow it, its that the banshee hubs are not as deep as the stock ones. The rims kinda off set the problem. Before I was running stock hubs and rims.

The ones i posted are 4x115, yamaha used the same bolt pattern and spline for the banshee, yfz and warrior and raptor.
Tusk is a pretty good name
Do you think those tusk hubs would be durable enough being aluminum and all?
I say they would be check product reviews.

Ahh yes the reviews.... So just for everyones knowledge, I checked out rocky mountain ATV and all 10 of the reviews were 5 starts (highest) seemed that some of them came with factory defects, but for the most part tusk warantied them, also there was a review from a MXer and he said that they were very durable. but the only thing he would recommend is re torquing them down after you ride a bit.
I will more then likely be getting a set here in the not so distant future.
