Can the lt250 power the pair of Banshee headlights? I'm thinking I might snag a pair and get some mounts to mount them off the frame to look simular to a Banshee headlight setup. Just curious if the stock stator can handle that.
Im wanting to do the same thing.
Dual banshee lights need 70watts to run. IIRC the LT250r only has like 50watts.
i have seen guys use the top shock bolt to mount lights, this way you dont need to cut or drill hole in plastic
Check out the 6" light . No need to rewind and it's bolt on and run it. Fab up a couple brackets and use the stock mounting location.

The banshee bulbs are 30w each. I heard the stock stator can do 55-60 on these lt250r's. Before I pull the trigger on a pair of banshee light (I think i'm going to try and mount off the shocks as well), do you think I will have any problems with this setup working?
Also can anyone find any links to pictures with a lt250r running banshee lights? I've been looking around, just cause i'm curious to see how it looks, but I can't find anything.
Banshee bulbs are 35, not 30.
Could only find a Zilla pic sorry
Wish i could see the front view on this. I even looked through the photo bucket file this is from for more pictures with no luck. Looks like he made some custom brackets to mount right with the shocks though.
Does anyone know if led/hid lights can be hooked up in the banshee housings?
You can mount HID lights in a banshee housing. But not LED
I gots. Lemme go take a pic.
ok. Here is what i did. I used a 1/8 x 1/2 aluminum strap. sanded it and ran it across a buffer. It mounts across the top shock tower and bolts down with the front plastic. The lights are a set of 3A racing foglamps with 25w h3 bulbs.
They have a nice blue hue to them. Stator keeps up no issues.
(edit) 2 things i forgot to mention.
1: since i posted on this thread it is dead and there will be no other replies. Sorry, it just seems that this always happens.
2: This setup has worked well for me, no vibrations, it allows me to clear the fenders with no probs, no mods or cutting anything was necessary.
