ok. Here is what i did. I used a 1/8 x 1/2 aluminum strap. sanded it and ran it across a buffer. It mounts across the top shock tower and bolts down with the front plastic. The lights are a set of 3A racing foglamps with 25w h3 bulbs.
They have a nice blue hue to them. Stator keeps up no issues.

 (edit) 2 things i forgot to mention.

1: since i posted on this thread it is dead and there will be no other replies. Sorry, it just seems that this always happens.

2: This setup has worked well for me, no vibrations, it allows me to clear the fenders with no probs, no mods or cutting anything was necessary.
I make carbon case savers, and sprocket covers for a bunch of crazies that own ancient bikes, Wait, I have an ancient LT250 too!!!
