Jeez Alan. That thing is messed up. Who, or what, was riding that thing?
I would spend some time on the lower frame rails for sure. Maybe weld some strip along the bottom. Looks like it might be rusting from the inside out. I have a 89 frame that did that. I never attempted to weld it. I'm not so great at tricky welds like that.
I'd say the piles of welds all over is the worst. Looks like a not so good weld job at some point in its life. But I'm sure it could be fixed right up with some TLC.
I agree with Gil. The cracks, rust throughs, and the "repairs". Yikes. Will take some talent to fix. The lower frame rails can be cut out and replaced, and that fuel tank bracket will need to be cut off and rewelded on straight.I wonder. Maybe some sort of air pressurized CLR spray inside the frame, or etching primer...
