Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do to hardwire my GPS so I don't need to remove it to charge it.

What type of GPS do you have? I'm not sure how a small battery on a GPS unit would like the varied power output of a stator.

I'm assuming a regulator/rectifier would be needed to help with the varied power output.
