Disassembling a Q V1 silencer

Anyone taken apart a Q V1 silencer? Wanting to have mine powder coated but I'm sure ill need to disassemble it for the process.

drill out the rivets. slides apart.  2c

I've never done anything with a silencer so if I drill the rivets how do I get it back together?

You make sure the perforated core is inserted correctly then slide the silencer body & flange back together lining up the rivet holes that your going to reuse easy peasy

You forgot the rivet part Dez.
You need to rivet it back together.
Or else it will explode.

And make sure it's tight, good rivets when its reassembled or else the holes will Waller out and the cap will blow off. Then it gets LOU-FREAKING-D

Buckeye--does the exhaust silencer get too hot for powdercoat?  I was going to PC my raptor silencer and they advised against it as they felt it would get over 400 degrees and soften so I ceramic coated it.  I have very very very little PC experience so I hope others chime in and let Buckeye know if its an issue or not.

Talked to shearer on Facebook he said he has been pc'ing silencers for a bit (2 years roughly) no issues at all. Said the pipe itself is a different story but pc'ing silencer is no big deal as far as longevity of the powder holding up.

Silencers can also be anodized if they're aluminum...just saying.

anodized blue would be siiiick.    does anodized color fade from heat though? i remember seeing ATC70 silencer tips being bleached out from heat.
