I will try this weekend.  Busy with my son's tournament baseball team that I coach.  It could be a short weekend though as I got tossed from the game tonight!! :)  This time I really didn't deserve it!!!!!

I hope this is not the same design that has been creating too much back pressure and causing seized pistons.

About a year ago I had a customer send me his engine that had a seized piston.  He said this was the second piston that had seized since he installed the extra long silencer on his Q pipe.

I had the customer send me his extra long Shearer silencer to inspect.  Flow test did not meet my criteria or expectations.  I built him an extra long HPR silencer for his Q Pipe.  Piston seizures stopped and the customer said it was quiter than the extra long Shearer silencer.

I built a jig and can make more if anyone is interested.

I had Mat build me an extra Quite Q pipe silencer a couple of years ago with a 16" body and turn down. IT worked ok but not quite enough for Oregon dunes. When HPR rebuilt my motor I had Jerry build a extra Quite silencer to fit my Q Pipe, the body is 18" long and 4" around with two mounting holes and 1 3/8" turn down. It works well with my six pack rack. It dosnt get me down to 93db, but quite enough not to atract atention. Performance is good acording my but dyno. Super easy to repack and two mounts make it realy solid. Thanks Jerry for all your help.

Any update on the long quiet Shearer silencer? Since I have a 2.0 Q Pipe jerry can't make a silencer for it without sending the whole pipe to him. Looking for any updated  info on the Shearer version. The regular silencer is way too loud for my taste, any improvement eould be better than what it is now.
